Terrain Database Version 138 for T3CAS Now Available

The Terrain Database Version 138 is now available on the ACSS Customer Services Publications website.  

Once on the "Publications" tab, type 9100030-138W into the "Search" field and select "Go!" to access the file for download.  The file is only available to authorized users with access to TAWS related items.​​​​



  

Terrain Database Version 178 for TAWS+ and T2CAS Now Available

The T2CAS/TAWS+ Terrain Database Version 178 is now available on the ACSS Customer Services Publications website.  

Once on the "Publications" tab, type 9100004-178W into the "Search" field and select "Go!" to access the file for download.  The file is only available to authorized users with access to TAWS related items.​​​​

  

Worldwide Obstacle Database 060 is now available

​Obstacle Database Version 060 is now available on the ACSS Customer Services Publications website.  Once on the "Publications" menu item, type 9100035-060W for the CF card version or 9100036-060W for the 615A version into the "Search" field and select "Go!" to access the file for download.  This file is only available to authorized users with access to TAWS related items.​​

  

ACSS Product Training cancelled for Fall 2022

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  


As an alternative, Computer Based Training is being offered.  Please search for "Computer Based Training Request" on the Publications tab of the website or look under the General folder to find the registration form.   Send this form to acss.techsupport@l3harris.com.


  

NOTICE TO SHIP PRODUCT TO GRAND RAPIDS FACILITY FOR REPAIRS

The repair and manufacturing facility location has changed for ACSS products in the United States.  Customers are requested to stop shipping product to ACSS R&O in Phoenix and instead ship to ACSS R&O at 5353 52nd Street SE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49512.

Please note that the ACSS email found in several documents show acss.orderadmin@L-3com.com, acss.phxrepair@L-3com.com and crc.acss@l-3com.com.   These have been replaced by acss.orderadmin@l3harris.com, acss.phxrepair@l3harris.com and acss.techsupport@l3harris.com, respectively.

The TAWS+ and T2CAS units are subject to a memory limitation affecting the Terrain database, where upgrades are needed by September 2021 in order to not be affected.   Unit part numbers ending in –xxx09 or less may be affected.    Please see the Publications-> General folder for more information or type 8021079 into the "Search" field and select "Go!" to access the file for download.​

  

With ADS-B Out reports being requested and viewed more frequently, ACSS has released a guidance slide set for potential customer use.  This report introduces the FAA's Public ADS-B Performance Report (PAPR) and indicates the steps to take should a failing category(ies) occur, based on ACSS’s experience.

This guide is found in the General folder on the left panel.  

 

  

​An Airworthiness Directive (AD) was issued by the FAA (AD 2012-02-08) and by EASA (AD US-2012-02-08) against certain ACSS TCAS products. Operators of the affected ACSS TCAS Products have 36 months to comply with this AD from the effective date on March 13, 2012. March of 2015 marked the close of the compliance period.
